A three-day study visit brought together 30 colleagues from the Bavarian State Institute for School Quality and Educational Research, ISB – Staatsinstitut für Schulqualität und Bildungsforschung, and experts from the Czech education sector to exchange experiences and discuss current developments in digital education. The programme, organised primarily by the National Pedagogical Institute of the Czech Republic, focused on trends in digital learning, examples of good practice, future challenges, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in education.

Throughout the visit, participants attended presentations, workshops, and discussions led by NPI specialists as well as invited external experts. The programme explored topics such as digital competences, innovative teaching methods, the integration of AI tools into the classroom, and the importance of preparing both teachers and students for the rapidly changing educational environment. The exchange of perspectives between Czech and Bavarian colleagues created valuable opportunities for international cooperation and professional inspiration.

An important part of the programme was a visit to Smíchovská střední průmyslová škola a gymnázium https://ssps.cz/, where participants met with both teachers and students to discuss the practical implementation of digital technologies in everyday school life.

The entire visit took place in an exceptionally positive and friendly atmosphere, contributing to open dialogue and professional exchange on both sides. We highly value this opportunity to share experiences, learn from one another, and strengthen international cooperation in the field of education. We look forward to continuing this successful partnership in the future.
